SCHMUCK: Munich Jewellery Week, day1

“Polyphonous: Counterpeint”, two projects generated by MA students from School of Jewellery (Soj) in Birmingha,UK and the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (CAFA), working with Jivan Astflack, Schwanthalerstr. 184, 80339 Munchen.

Here are some pieces I liked.

This a piece from the exhibation of CAFA. I think the combination of two material is very comfortable.

The contrast of the two parts is strong but together it looks harm: warm white and dark gray, relatively hard and soft, reflective and opaque, the vertical extension…

the shape of the two parts are organic. and the white part is a little tough so it can stand straightly from the metal part.

This if made by tin leaf. Amazing.

After the speech, we visited the exhibition in Museum Reich Der Kristalle.

The gold ore was very impressive.

Enjoyed the wine and walked back to the hotel.
